Health Care Reform Work Group

The Agency of Human Services (AHS) convened the Health Care Reform Work Group to provide input on health care reform efforts generally, and development of a proposal for a potential future agreement with the federal government to allow Medicare participation in Vermont’s health care reform initiatives specifically. The Health Care Reform Work Group has generated several focused subgroups to address short-term health care provider stability, primary care, commercial insurer and Medicaid opportunities for multi-payer approaches in alignment with Medicare, waivers of Medicare regulations, hospital global budgets, and total cost of care growth in health care services.
